The appointed psalm for the 4th Sunday in Lent (Year B) is Psalm 107: 1-3, 17-22. I’ve written this poetic paraphrase of the entire psalm to be sung to the tune of My Life Flows On in Endless Song by Robert Lowry.
Your Love Endures Forever
HOW CAN I KEEP FROM SINGING 8 7 8 7 and refrain
(“My Life Flows On in Endless Song”)
1
Sometimes we wander lost, unsure;
our souls are faint within us.
We hunger for your help, O God;
we thirst for peace and justice.
Refrain
We thank you, God. Your love is sure;
your heart holds us together.
With joy we lift our voice in song:
your love endures forever.
2
Sometimes we sit in shadows deep,
our hearts bowed down in sorrow.
We cry to you in our distress;
you promise us tomorrow. Refrain
3
Sometimes we are so bound by sin,
we work and war like thunder.
You come to us with mercy deep;
you break our bonds asunder. Refrain
4
Sometimes the waves crash over us;
the storms they rage and threaten.
You still the storms; you hush the waves.
You bring us to our haven. Refrain

We were introduced to this song. Doug P directed our singing. He also said your sermon had some interesting points. That inspired me look at your blog. I am so happy I did and hope it is ok with you.
Good to hear your prayers and sermons. Thank you!
We will be singing this at Zion! Thank you!
Wonderful! Thank you!
