I’m writing this post while my boys play a raucous game of hide and seek. It seems fitting somehow. Life feels like a game of hide and seek these days. I’ve given up looking for answers, but I sure would like to find the clarifying questions. I’m seeking purpose in the pain and peace in the doubting. I’m searching for courage, for wisdom, for a word of hope to claim and to share. Maybe you are too.
I’m starting to discover some of the hiding places where I’m most apt to find that which I’m seeking. I’m finding the questions in the woods and on the water. I’m finding purpose and peace in falling snow and soft green moss. I’m finding courage, and wisdom, and words of hope hidden in plain sight–in poetry and Scripture and gathered community–when I make time and space to simply notice.
For what are you searching? Where are you finding it?
My hope is that this blog will be an encouragement to you, perhaps even one of the hiding places for that which you seek.
Peace, Stacey
